Night Before Christmas-Spanglish version

Era the night before Christmas and all through the casa,

Not a creature was stirring - Oye! Que pasa?

Los niños were tucked away in their camas,

Some in long underwear, some in pijamas.

While hanging the stockings con mucho cuidado

In hopes that old Santa se sintiera obligado

To bring all the children, both buenos y malos,

A nice batch of dulces y otros regalos.

Outside en la calle there arose such a grito

That I jumped to my feet y cage un mojoncito.

I ran to the window y mire pa` fuera,

And who in the world do you think que era?

Santi Clo` en un sley wearing a red Guayabera

And driving his sleigh instead of venados

Were eight little horses aterrizando volados.

I watched as they came and this loud little hombre

Was shouting "Que Vuele!" and calling by nombre:

"Ay Pepe, ay Juan, ay Manolo, ay Lazaro,

Ay Pedro, ay Julio, Ramon, y Miguelito!"

Then standing erect con sus manos en su pecho

He flew to the top of our very own techo.

He looked around but could not find,

Then he yelled "Oye brother aqui no hay chimenea!"

So he came through the back and into the sala,

When he saw our tree he said,

"Coño! que cosa mas fea"

With risa and joy, he left plenty of toys.

He brought us felicidad and said "ya me voy".

As he was leaving I heard him exclaim,

"Meri Chrismah! pa`todos y Feliz Año Nuevo".
